Kaile Luga serves as the Kaliʻuokapaʻakai Collective Coordinator for Huliauapaʻa. She is a Wahi Kūpuna Internship Program alumni, having graduated from Huliauapaʻa’s 2015 cohort. Kaile studied anthropology at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Kaile has been working in the culture sector for the past five years and has experience in archaeology, museum preservation and curation, ethnography, historic site preservation, and grave marker repair and preservation. Additionally, Kaile has experience with community engagement and outreach and training. She has worked with several Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit organizations and served one year as an AmeriCorps VISTA.
