About Kuhiawaho

Non-profit organization located in the ahupuaʻa of Waiawa near Puʻuloa Oʻahu. Our ʻili ʻāina is guarded by the great shark goddess, Kaʻahupahau. Since 2010, the ʻohana Kaʻōpua-Fitzgerald have been here on behalf of Kamehameha Schools, striving to provide Kanaka ʻŌiwi leadership opportunities and instill kanaka identity through ʻāina based stewardship.
About  Hanakēhau
Koʻihonua is not for profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and providing cultural space for our lāhui to learn/practice/engage in Hawaiian traditions and practices. We call our home site Hanakēhau Learning Farm because, in addition to plants, we seek to grow our lāhui. Located in Waiawa Makai, on the shores of Pu'uloa, we are working to  restore `āina in an area heavily impacted by a long history of military misuse, illegal dumping, and pollution.
