Kawai Souza is from Honomakaʻu, Kohala on Hawaiʻi Island and currently resides in Mānoa, Oʻahu. She is currently pursing a Bachelor's degree in ʻIke Hawaiʻi as well as a minor in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and English at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
