NZeTA is required for all travels to Aotearoa. 

Most requests are processed within 72 hours; however, they may take longer to process.

Please complete the steps to request your NZeTA well in advance of our huakaʻi!

 

What you will need:

​

• NZeTA App

• Valid Passport

• Valid Credit Card

• Email address

 

Steps to apply for your NZeTA via the App:​​​

​

1. Go to the App Store on your mobile device and download the NZ Electronic Travel Authority app. Search “NZeTA” and download https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nzeta/id1470900142

2. Go through the prompts as directed in the app. 

 

3. Scan your passport

​

4. You will be prompted to take a photo of yourself

• Find a plain background

• Make sure there are no shadows 

• Look straight at the camera

• Remove hats, head coverings and glasses

5. Answer the question prompts

​

6. In put your email address

​

7. Add any other travelers you want (ʻohana, keiki, etc.)

​

8. You will be prompted to submit a payment method and pay​:​

• NZeTA (1) = $17 NZD ($9.97 USD)

• IVL (1) = $100 NZD ($58.64 USD)

• Total = $117 NZD ($68.61 USD)

*If your travel costs are covered by Huliauapaʻa, we can offer to pay your NZeTA fee as well. Kalena will be in contact with you about this.

What is IVL?

IVL stands for the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy. The number of visitors coming into Aotearoa has grown over the past few yeas and is expected to continue to grow.
